The Challenges
Colacem had to ensure cement compliance through over 10,000 physical-chemical analyses per year per plant. The management of this data was manual: analysis results from offline machinery were transcribed onto paper and then entered into SAP. This caused structural delays between execution and data availability and increased the risk of transcription errors.
The Solution
Thanks to Zerynth Edge Devices installed on the machinery, the results of physical-chemical analyses are extracted from text files, normalized, and automatically transmitted via the Zerynth Platform. While Zerynth provides structured data, the Colacem team manages the final integration, eliminating manual transcriptions. Today, data is available in real-time on SAP, with dedicated dashboards for operational monitoring and timely anomaly detection.

The Results
The implementation led to improved data quality thanks to the elimination of manual data entry, allowing operators and technicians to focus on higher value-added activities such as analysis and optimization. Furthermore, complete visibility into data and analyses was achieved, with real-time availability of physical-chemical data in SAP for timely anomaly detection.
