More than 120 professionals from leading Italian companies involved in the digital transition to Industry 5.0 attended the event

26 September 2023

Pisa, 26 September 2023 – Zerynth, a leader in Industrial IoT solutions for manufacturing companies, hosted the Zerynth Connect event in Pisa on September 21st. The conference delved into the theme of Industry 5.0, highlighting the importance of digitalization, business sustainability, and the key role of humans in an era of increasingly integrated business processes.

New technologies enable businesses to become more digitalized and sustainable through the integration of IoT and AI tools that can collect real-time data and facilitate informed decision-making  based on in-depth analysis. This approach allows for improved operational efficiency, optimized production processes, and waste reduction, all while promoting corporate sustainability.

The event brought together over 120 professionals from leading Italian companies, who are key players in the digital 5.0 transition, enabling the paradigm shift, especially in discrete and process manufacturing.

“With great enthusiasm, we had the privilege of gathering an important representation of Italian manufacturing companies in the extraordinary setting of Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa. This event underlines, in a tangible way, the fundamental role that digital technologies play in a constantly evolving industry ,” says Gabriele Montelisciani CEO of Zerynth. “The growing need for data and process integration becomes even more important in this era of profound change, where the development of a resilient and sustainable industry is pivotal. Digitalization is therefore becoming crucial for businesses, and the role of humans at the center of this transition is essential because without data, knowledge cannot be acquired, and without knowledge, informed decisions cannot be made.”

The stellar lineup at Zerynth Connect featured notable guest speakers who took center stage:

  • Quang Ngo Dinh, CEO of Olivetti and Mario Polosa, Product & Service Owner Industrial IoT at Olivetti, explored the topics of Innovation, Transformation and Sustainability within the context of Industry 5.0.
  • Augusto De Castro, General Manager of MADE Competence Center Industria 4.0, shed light on the role  of competence centers and the opportunities they present for Italian companies.

Daniele Mazzei, Chief Product Officer at Zerynth, closed the event with a presentation of the new Zerynth IoT & AI Platform. “While we hear more and more about Industry 5.0 in the context of large industries, we must not forget that Italy is home to numerous small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. With our technology accessible to SMEs, we want to support the digitalization of Italian companies, helping them to optimize production processes, reduce waste and remain competitive in the ever-changing market.”
