You can secure funding of up to 14 million euros, which can be used for accessing  the service catalog (available endowment: 1.5 million €) and for implementing industrial research and experimental development projects (available endowment: 12.5 million €). The opportunities for non-repayable funding for innovation projects start from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5 and allow you to reach at least TRL 7. The maximum contribution per project is 400,000 euros, with a total of 12.5 million euros available. The project duration is 12 months, and evaluations are conducted on a “First in – First Out” basis,  considering the order of  application submissions.

The Competence Center Artes 4.0 offers a call for technological innovation funding for industrial research and experimental development projects in various thematic categories, including biomedicine, robotics, artificial intelligence, transportation systems, logistics, and energy. Companies of various sizes can participate individually or in partnerships formed by companies.

The extent of aid varies depending on the company’s size and the type of project, but you could receive a significant contribution to support your innovation efforts, up to 100% of the total cost.

A crucial step in accessing technology innovation calls offered by the Competence Center Artes 4.0 is the presentation of strong and convincing project proposals. Here’s what you should consider carefully:

  • Detailed Intervention Plan: Your proposals should include a concrete intervention plan in which you outline the necessary investments, expected costs, and execution times. Thorough planning is essential to ensure the success of your project.
  • Clearly Defined Benefits: It’s important to present the benefits that your innovation project will bring to the selected application area in a clear and convincing manner. These benefits should be measurable and demonstrate how your project will contribute to technological advancement and goal achievement.
  • Technological Maturity (TRL): Your projects should demonstrate a level of technological maturity ranging from TRL 5 to TRL 8. This means your ideas should be ready to transition from the experimental development phase to practical implementation.
  • Involvement of the Competence Center: Direct involvement of the Competence Center Artes 4.0 is a crucial element for the success of your project. You must demonstrate how CC Artes 4.0 will contribute to contractual research activities, technological consulting, and support.
